Only 76-year old engineering professor Liviu Librescu's quiet instructions disrupted the silence. As the shooter approached, Professor Librescu -- a Holocaust survivor -- held the door to block his students from the shooter. That gave his students just enough time to escape. He was shot dead seconds later.
